Sketching 2010 has ended.
The fifth annual summit on the design and use of physical computing toolkits. Attendance by invitation only. Presentations by every attendee.
Sketching is a three day meeting to discuss tools for physical computing prototyping: how to make them, how to make them better, how to use them, and how to teach with them.
The theme for 2010 is Expansion.
In the last five years, prototyping with physical computing toolkits has become a widespread, if not exactly common, method for technology development, design exploration and creative expression. The seed of a new technique has been sown. This years' meeting will (loosely) discuss how this growth has progressed, what the participants have learned and how to guide the continuing development of toolkits.
What are new opportunities and technologies to explore? Newly-discovered hazards to understand? New audiences to involve? Where are things going, where should they go, and how can those ideas be aligned?
